Yes, today I am officially eligible for Social Security. I am the age that those younger then me refer to as "old folks".
I don't want to hear any of that kind of descriptive language...cause if I do, I might just have to whack you with my cane!!

Funny post, Pat! Now you can enjoy your dual citizenship, as my husband used to joke when he turned 60. In our country, when one turns 60, he is eligible for a Senior Citizen card that gives him 20% off everything -- plane fares, food purchases, medicines... and so we really celebrated this event.

in canada miss patty, we get canada pension when we are 60.
bernie will be retiring in jan. and he will be getting his pension.
the government has been good to me in that they agreed to give me disability canada pension.
just as well because most of my married life, i only worked about three years and i would of only got 73 dollars pension compared to the 500 they give me now!
anyways i always thought i was the oldest of the scarf sisters!
