I just realized this product does not have the word "fat" in its title. It's simply "Big Sexy Hair". I stand corrected. I guess it was just a subconscious wish of mine to have fat hair.
On with my product review!
As I have whined and complained about many times before, I have very fine hair. That's fine as in not much of, not fine as in good. On top of that it's baby soft. Fine and soft..what could be less appealing. That look only works on babies.
Always searching for a product that will "fatten" my hair, and never finding one, I thought I'd give this one a try. My common sense never kicks in to tell me that you can't make what you do have - look like something you don't have. I live in hair hope, and occasionally on a dream.
I bought this product which was really more costly then I'm comfortable with, with great expectations. In my mind I can just imagine complaining about my thick hair after using it. I was semi pleased with it. Although I don't have twice the amount of hair with it, it does put a coating on it that makes it feel thicker, and also easier to manage because it is no longer as soft. But..it also makes it more difficult to comb through, thus pulling out precious strands of hair. So...what's the verdict? You tell me.
Maybe learning to be content in all things would be much wiser.

Soft baby hair is what God graced you with .. so be ever so thankful you have it. It's His gift to you .. there just must be a way for you to like it :) God looks at the heart and not the hair :) You are beautiful inside and out .. I'd have never known you struggled so if you hadn't stated so .. Peace.
P.S. I really 'heart' the roses in combination with the crystal bling in the header on your blog .. very nice!!!! :)
I'm with Cathy, but, that said,
I want my hair to look thicker
too. Here's what I find helps
me a lot.
.rinsing in apple cider vinegar
.a coating of psssst dry shampoo
.David Babaii beach spray
.Aussie awesome volume spray
.And I shampoo with a coconut
oil bar soap from Tropical
Traditions which helps most of
all.
Hope something works for you!
I am with you! I have very thin hair and baby soft, there really nothing I can do with it, looks is boring :) I always wish for lots of curly hair. I haven't try anything for volume. If I do find a good one I'll let you know.
Have a great day :)
Have you ever tried Guts by Redkin? Peggy loves it...if you want to try it let me know i can pick one up at SalonCentric the next time I go for hair supplies.
It's a mousse type product and the cost is abour $9.
I can also get Big Sexy Hair products if you ever want any...my cost would be less.
Love you sissy.
P.S. You always look beautiful!
I use this stuff called "BED HEAD" - purchased through my hairdresser - love it. And I never - ever - use a comb - or a brush for that matter. Wash / towel dry / BED HEAD / scrunch and fluff with my hands / air dry or blow dry if I'm in a hurry. Sometimes after it drys I touch up a bit with the curling iron. My once VERY thick head of hair which when I was younger I had to have "thinned out" is now not so much. Thankful it was thick - because considering how much I've lost - had I started thin - I'd now be bald.
Oh...Lovin' the Red Roses / Crystal Prism thing too!
P.S. Please refer to product photo on my blog.
P.P.S. Please ignore my mispelling of the word DRYS...?? Dries...please. what was I thinking?!
I used to have such think hair, and with every pregnancy it got thinner! Good thing I only had 3!
I have tried several different products too and have yet to find one I really like.
My mom lost all her thick auburn hair during her chemo treatments and when it grew back in, hers was the most beautiful baby soft white hair I had ever touched and not nearly as thick. My sisters and I used to call it angel hair...I bet God has adorned you with angel hair Pat.....
I'm practically bald on top.
My thoughts are leaning towards having my scalp tatooed. Now I just have to decide on what color.
Kell...said don't use Guts. It was hard to comb through it afterwards.
p.s. Every time I see this title I start singing "you sexy thang!"
Now, it's stuck in my head...yoy!
My hair is thick an d wavy - conditioner softens it. I like baby soft hair too - my sis has it.
Well, my hair is rather thick and very wavy, with cowl licks...what to do? I don't know! I call them "angel kisses" however and this seems to help.
I've thought of straightening my hair with one of those tools, not sure I want to spend the money though. Any thoughts, ideas, are appreciated!
