Back From Whence It Came

Remember that Shark Steam mop I bought?  Well I have to take it back to....WALMART....ugh.
It doesn't work, and that makes me very aggravated.  Actually the word aggravated is milder then what I'm feeling, but I will use my indoor voice and  grown up words to illustrate how I feel.
It won't make steam, which if I'm correct is the reason it's called a steam mop.  I've filled the water tank, primed and pumped it, waited, and waited;  unplugged it, started all over and still nothing.
If there's anything that bursts my bubble, it's buying a new product, get it home, turn it on...and it doesn't work!
Now the next question is, do I buy another one with the thought that this one may just be faulty? Do I shop for a different brand, is there another brand?  Or maybe, and this is just a wild thought...I just don't clean my floors.  OK, that last thought was just crazy, or was it?

That is such a bummer! I've had mine for 2 years and absolutely love it - I hope you just got a bum one, but I can see why you are worried about getting another.

is it because you have wood floors that you need a steamer? I don't know, Mr. Higgins uses an old fashioned mop and old fashioned pinesol LOL, but we have tiled floors.

Did you read reviews on this thing? I don't have one myself...just curious what others have to say?
I agree with you, though, that is so aggravating! Let us know what you decided to do!
