Pat's Perfect Shopping Mall
If I were to design my very own perfect shopping mall, one of the first things I'd do is eliminate all unnecessary stores, like men's clothing and sporting goods stores. It would not be a strip mall, but all under one roof with lockers to store my coat and purchases along the way. It would have many restroom, one in each store and available to the public. It would only have stores that I like. The big anchors on the ends would be Ikea and Home Depot or Lowes with an Orange Julius stand somewhere in the middle of the court.
Imagine if you will........

IKEA
JoAnn Fabric and Craft Home Goods
Michael's craft store Macy's Restaurant
Target TJ Maxx
Tim Horton Marshall's
Thrift/resale shop [Orange Julius Hobby Lobby
Bed Bath and Beyond Stand] Red Robin
Greek Restaurant Garden Ridge
Benches to sit & check credit balance Crate & Barrel
Mexican Restaurant Coffee & Tea Shop
Williams Sonoma Arhaus (for inspiration)
Woolworth's dime store Benches to sit & catch breath
(with soda fountain)
LOWES OR HOME DEPOT

That's all I can think of right at the moment...what would you add or make different? Would you add more clothing and shoe stores? Daycare? Jewelry? Or maybe, you just don't like shopping at all! I really don't either except for things pertaining to my home...and an Orange Julius.

I like your list; especially the seat to rest and check my credit balance. haha
I'm really not much of a shopper. In and out is my way of shopping.
Well, I DO like YOUR mall better than what we've got. (Though how WOULD I know? I can't remember the last time I walked the mall halls!)
We DO go to Barnes and Noble at our local large mall. We don't venture outside of it, but EVERY mall needs a bookstore!
I think you have a great plan! I would love to shop there.
I agree with Rebecca about every mall needing a book store. Love that yours has plenty of resting benches.
Our little town got a Walmart express and it had its grand opening today. I didn't go yet, but most of the comments say it is just another grocery store. They do have a pharmacy, however, and that might save me a few miles to pick up my meds on their $10 for 90 day supply of generic meds. Someone described it as the Dollar General without the clothes. LOL
I agree, a bookstore is a must! I will just have to fit it in there!
Hi Pat, The Mall looks good tho' from outside and your points are well taken. How are you Pat?

I'd eliminate all the women's clothing stores! :D But I agree with you on a great many too. Love Crate & Barrel, TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Home Dept and Target.
I'd add Wal-Mart, West Elm, and Z Gallerie.
Oh and Lids!!
Like your stores but I would add JCPenney and Macy's...
however, in my perfect mall... all the clothes would magically make me a size 6!
I would add Ruby Tuesday (love their food!). A Laura Ashley store. Christopher & Banks clothing store.
But I do LOVE the idea of a Woolworth's. The mall nearest to where I grew up had one.
Sounds about perfect to me. Remember the times we spent sitting in a booth at Woolworths...sigh.
I love you sissy!
