Knee Knesting

In one week, January 2Oth,  I will enter the hospital for my knee replacement surgery.  I'm starting to feel like I'm going through that nesting phase one goes through before they deliver a baby, only I'll get to bring home an artificial knee - aww, isn't it precious!
I've been stocking up on groceries, like as if my husband is incapable of grocery shopping.  He's not incapable, but it certainly isn't his forte`.   I will be sure that all the laundry is caught up since the washer and dryer are in the basement.    I'm very particular about my laundry and the reality is - he will have to do it for a while.  It will be his clothes that may suffer as I plan on doing a lot of pajama wearing for a while, and if you shrink or discolor pj's it's not a big deal.
I was going to cook and freeze several meals, but he is a very good cook, and what he doesn't cook, the restaurant carry-out will provide.
I ordered some new books for my kindle, and tried to add more songs to my iPod.  I say try because when I went to play them I had NO songs.  Hmmm, I think I may have missed a step.  Now I will have to go back and put them all back on there.  Or maybe they are on there and I just can't find them.  This is too much pressure.
I bought a safety seat for the bathtub.  It shouts AN OLD GEEZER LIVES HERE !  when you open the shower curtain and see it.  Hal seems to like to use it, and actually it is kind of comfy, even if it isn't very attractive.
I have laid in a supply of my sparkling tea as I mentioned before.  All I will need after the surgery is a supply of pain medication and I should be all set.  Knee Knesting Komplete!

Knee knesting - I love it! Once you get that knee, you can get rid of the old geezer stuff!

You are being prayed for and over and I hope you are dancing soon. Love you sis. Cathy

I'm sure you will do fine. My hip surgery is planned for the 18th of January. Maybe we can compare notes later.

I wish we lived closer.... ugh. I could load songs on your iPod for you - and stop by to do your laundry and fluff your pillows!

As Cathy said...you're being prayed for ...big time! You know I love ya! ...you'll be dancing soon - and you'll probably never get rid of the Geezer chair - we have one of those - would never be without it!
