So all of a sudden blogger has a new face and I am used to the old face. I'm not familiar with where the edit and delete symbols are and so far I've posted two new blogs with titles only! I don't recall signing up for this new layout, but if given enough time, I should be able to master it. Of course by then, they will introduce a new layout!
It is, pardon the language, stinkin' cold here! When it dips below freezing, so does my dislike of the weather. I had to go out today. I had blood work and a chest xray to take care of before my surgery and of course I had to do it today. I have been EKG'd , Stressed, blood drawn, chest xrayed and a few other things I don't care to mention. The nurse doing my test had a knee replacement a few years ago. I asked how it went. Her reply was...."It was horrible". Thank you for the encouragement!
It was a very lazy dinner night. I made mac and cheese and fish sticks. Both from a box. It was almost like eating in the school cafeteria when I was a child! Fortunately I have a husband who almost never complains on what I feed him, except for a couple of weeks ago. I made meatloaf and orzo with tomatoes and feta cheese. He said it made his mouth go numb. I liked it. Not his mouth going numb, the meal.
Tomorrow the tree comes down. It will be back to usual around here, kind of blech. Have you put all of your Christmas decorations away? I cleaned the living room of decoration, but that was fairly simple. I never know what to put on the front door once the Christmas wreath is gone. It really needs something. Suggestions?
Did I tell you the trunk of my car smelled really bad. If I haven't mentioned it, I apologize, I'm sure that's something you would have been anxious to know. There is nothing in it and all we can figure out is something spilled on the felt mat that covers the floor of the trunk. It smells like rotten cauliflower crawled in there and died. Try to imagine that if you dare. With the temps in the teens last night, I think it killed whatever it was because I didn't smell anything today. You see the fragrance wafted up into the car itself. I had LOTS of air fresheners in there. Made it smell like a combo of fresh linen, Macintosh apples and decaying vegetables. Yum. See why I prefer to stay home?
Enough of this pointless chatter. Did I tell you I'm not going out tomorrow. Now you know everything.
~It is well with my soul

You are so funny! Hope that smell goes away soon!
My blogger hasn't changed. I wonder if it's coming to me soon?
I'm freezing here too!
I love your new look!
I have been watching the news and saw the winter storms the mid west and great lake region has gone through...sending prayers from an almost as cold New England region.
btw, love your blog..found it today.
Um...yeah.
:)
btw...my Mom's knee replacement surgery...she would tell you was the best decision she ever made! Don't listen to that nurse...obviously she's a grump.
My tree is still up. No plans to take it down. Because I rarely make plans.
I'll let you know when I do.
Glad you get to stay in tomorrow. I have to go out to radiology to swallow a pill tomorrow and back on Thursday for the scan of my thyroid. And it is just too COLD!! My cousin had no trouble with her knee surgeries.;)
I agree, you are funny. My tree is down, since Saturday afternoon. I miss it already.
I have heard different stories about knee surgery. Some say it was a good decision and that got through well, others say the opposite. I believe it
will go well with you. I am praying and I know all your family and friends are as well.
It's going to be 17 here tonight. Wind chill this morning was -1 and 17. High was 25. So, we're cold here too. I love it. I know, I'm weird. ;0)
Hugs~
Well, let me see, I'm living on the verge of anger overflowing, my tree is still up but the piles are gathering and will soon find their home (I hope!). I'm trying to be dedicated to blogging, Lord knows what will pop out of my mouth! As for your surgery, ignore the nay-sayers and forge ahead. There is relief in your future! Cold her too....wind chill of 12 last night....BRRRRRR! That's "stinkin cold" for my neck of the woods! Glad your car no longer stinks!
Many hugs............

Ha ha, that made me laugh. Blogger hasn't changed for me yet, but I suppose it must be coming. Great.
It's getting cold here in the UK too, and our hot water has died.
We need a new kettle.
Blimey I've waffled on, like you have, it's catching!!! :D
I like to keep my snowmen out after Christmas. I also have a really cute snowman decoration on my front door that says "Let It Snow".
As far as your stinky trunk/car go...good luck! I have a car that I want to sell and it smells um like an "intact male cat" has been lurking around. I won't go into any more detail!
yes it is cold! only have feb march and april to go. not bad. :)
tree is down.
deco's away.
only a box or two to mail to chicago and that is the last of it. yeahy.
the previous owners of my car SMOKED. bleck! my BIL said to pour fabreeze down the intake area... will see.
love to have the mouth numbing recepie, please.
Pardon your language... LOL... stinkin' cold here. HAHA!
This post made me laugh out loud, well, not the knee surgery but the smell. Go get new carpets. even if it's more than you want to spend... it's cheaper than a new car, however you may get sticker shock! OR... call a junk yard, see if they have the same car, get the carpet from there!
Blogger is changing!? Seheesh...I will not be happy. Lol.
So far my tree is still standing and we had leftovers for supper last night.
And it is cold outside but you know me, I am waiting for a lovely snow.
Oh, and check to see if your trunk has a leak...with all the rain we have had that might be the problem. The window on Tom's truck was leaking a while back and it smelled nasty!
I love you sissy!
You have a great sense of humor. I always say as you get older we do have to keep our humor in place.
My tree is still up. So is the Christmas wreath. Being that the wreath is a simple fresh pine with fake winter berries, it's staying up until it starts to dry out. Try sprinkling baking soda in the trunk .. let it sit for a few days and then have Hal vacuum it with a shopvac. Maybe a mouse died trying to stay warm. I've heard of people having mice in their cars.
