Down But Not Out

Remember how I told you I hated taking those pain pills?
Well I'm not taking any more!
Seems the pills, plus the epidural plus the drugs taken in the hospital have effected my digestive system in a negative way.
I'm feeling quite ill, lots of stomach pain, nausea, etc.
I am taking a few days off blogging to try to recover.
Prayers appreciated.

~It is well with my soul

Oh I do empathize! I also cannot take any type of narcotic pain pill, not even iboprofen (maybe two of these once in awhile). So it's Tylenol. After my lung surgery a few years ago, I did have an epidural, but it was put in incorrectly and didn't do that job it was supposed to do. I was so deathly sick on the iv pain drugs and the subsequent pills they sent home with me. My only suggestion for your tummy is to be on a bland diet for awhile (oatmeal, soups, toast) until your stomach heals and to take an acid reducer pill (from your doctor, preferably prescription strength). I'm thinking of you! Keep us posted! Hugs :)

I'm sorry - those pills are hard on a person. I'm praying!

I am sorry to hear you are ill now due to the pain meds. I prayed and will continue to pray for this stomach distress to go as well as the pain in the name of Jesus.
Love,
Sandy

Oh no.... ack! I highly recommend chewable acidoplulus. Nature's Bounty makes a good, yummy kind and you can find it in the supermarket and drug stores. Take at least one in the morning and evening and they should help! These are vital to a healthy digestion (I chew one or two daily), especially after taking antibiotics which take away the good bacteria along with the bad. Praying you'll feel better soon, Pat! ... Hi again... Good grief! It's acidolphulus--or at least, that's a much closer spelling. :) ... Debra

Get lots of rest, take the advise of your doctor and in a few days you will be feeling better.
This is just a small step backwards....
